Deccan Odyssey Journey will take you through the historic monumentsof Bijapur, UNESCO Heritage sites of Aiholee and Pattadakal, with a glimpse of Badami, and the architectural marvels of Hampi, the cosmopolitan city of Hyderabad and UNESCO World Heritage Sites- Ajanta and Ellora Caves. Get an insight of India's history and rich culture in a Luxury Train. Welcome to the Deccan Odyssey.

Day 01: MUMBAI



You will be expected to arrive and assemble Earlyat Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 1530 hours, and complete registration and check-in formalities. You will be accorded A Royal and traditional Indian welcome by the staff followed by a refreshing drink. You will be escorted to your respective Cabins. Settle and relax as the Deccan Odyssey train leaves for Bijapur in Karnataka. Dinner will be served on Board the Train.

Day 2 : BIJAPUR



You will arrive in this historic and beautiful city at the dawn. After Breakfast on the train, you will vsit the city which was once the Capital of Sultans of Deccan. During the dynasty of Adil shah, the city prospered as the scholars, poets, painters, dancers, calligraphers and Sufi Saints settled here. We will start city tour with Gol Gumbaz; the second largest tomb in the world and mausoleum of Adil Shah, the Sultan of Bijapur. As the name suggests, the Gol Gumbaz is a round dome, the structure of the dome celebrates the success of Deccan architecture. The dome constitutes of a circular gallery, which has an amazing aspect of echoing, every little murmur. Visit Jumma Masjid (one of the first mosques of India), Malik-e-Maidan (the largest medieval canon in the world), Mehtar Mahal (it is a 17th century ornamental entrance to a mosque), Ibrahim Rouza (one of the Islamic monuments comprising of a 24 m high minarets). Get back to the comforts of Deccan Odyssey for lunch. The train will start moving towardsAihole and Pattadakal. Dinner and night stay onboard.

Day 3 : AIHOLEE & PATTADAKAL



Third day is set out to explore the holy shrines and age-old attractions of Aihole and Pattadakal. Aiholeconsisting of around 100 Temples built between 4th& 5th Century most impressive is Durga
Temple – inspired by Buddhist Architecture) Pattadakal – A World Heritage site – Also known for its Group of Temples Return back to relish lunch onboard. After lunch, you can opt for a short trip to impressive weaving village of Guledgudda, Get familiarize with the weaving process. If not this, you can enjoy sightseeing at Badami, its rock-cut caves and beautifully sculptured temples. The Train will continue its journey towards another World Heritage site – HAMPI (in HOSPET) Dinner on board the Train and Overnight.

Day 4 : HAMPI



As the train arrive in Hospet andafter sumptuous Breakfast, Visit the well-known World Heritage Site- Hampi, which is extremely popular for its brilliant constructions of ancient monuments.Visit HAMPI - as it is popularly known today was the medieval capital of the Hindu empire Vijayanagara (the City of Victory). Hampi in the Karnataka state of India is listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Hampi is charismatic even in its ruined state. Visit Narasimha statue, Mustard Ganesh. Here, you can see an elephant God statue. Take a Walk along the banks of the Tungabhadra River to enjoy the ruins architectural marvel.Visit Virupakshaand VittalaTemple, which exhibits the architecture of Vijayanagara Empire.
Lunch on Board the Train
After brief rest in your luxury cabins get ready to explore Hampi sites again and start with Royal Center at Hampi. The center constitutes of courtly and military structures that were once the citadel of Vijayanagara Kings, Queen's Bath (ancient-royal stepped tank), MahanavamiDibba or great platform, HazararamaTemple, Queens Enclosure along with its Lotus Mahal and the Elephant stables. Drive back to Hospet Station to board Deccan Odyssey.
Dinner will be served on Board the Train and overnight in your luxurious Cabins. Deccan Odyssey continues its journey towards Hyderabad.

Day 5 : HYDERABAD



On day five, Deccan Odyssey enters Hyderabad – the capital of Telangana State. Erstwhile it was a famous as the royal city of Nizams.Take your breakfast and proceed to visit Golconda:built on a Granite Hill, 120M high and Surrounded by Ramparts. The massive gates were studded with iron spikes to obstruct war Elephants.
Return to the comforts of the luxury train for lunch and some rest. You may also stroll around the vibrant bazaars of Hyderabad, where you can put your hand on shopping articles such as pearls, lace bangles and ITTARS. Later, you head to explore the Falaknuma Palace.
While you have Dinner on Board, the Train will continue its journey towards Aurangabad.

Day 6 : AURANGABAD – ELLORA CAVES



Named after the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb. Moghul influence is seen almost in the entire city. UNESCO has recognized the Ellora Caves as World Heritage site. After Breakfast on board the train, drive towards theEllora Caves. The caves are considered one of the finest examples of cave-temple architecture in India. The site includes 34 rock-cut caves that represent Hindu, Buddhist and art that dates back to the 4th to 5th century AD. There are 12 Buddhist caves to the south, 17 Hindu caves in the center, and the 5 Jain caves to the north. The most important attraction of the caves is the Kailash temple. The temple is believed to be a replica of Shiva's celestial abode on Mt. Kailash.
Get back to the Deccan Odyssey for lunch.
The Train moves to Ajanta Caves passing through landscapes of Maharashtra and surroundings. Sit back and relax for the evening. Savor your favorite cocktail along with luxurious dinner. Take some rest as Deccan Odyssey proceeds towards Jalgaon.

Day 7 : AJANTA CAVES



You will be served Breakfast as you arrive at Jalgaon Station. Drive to the Ajanta Caves, another UNESCO World Heritage site. The site of Ajanta Caves includes 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves that have been beautifully carved. All the caves feature sculptures and paintings of Buddhist religious art. Lunch on Boardthe Train. After having your lunch, disembark and pay a visit to a Mahatma Gandhi's memorial, who was one of the most important leaders of the country. There is much to learn at the Gandhi Teerth that pays honor to the man who walked on the path of non-violence. The man who quoted "My religion is based on truth and non-violence. Truth is my God. Non-violence is the means of realizing Him." In the evening, enjoy a sun downer while watching the real beauty of rural India. Have dinner onboard the Deccan Odyssey as the train leaves for the last stop, Mumbai.

Day 8 : MUMBAI (Departure)

TERMS & CONDITIONS
• 50% of tariff for children between 5 years and 12 years of age.
• Service tax @2.58%.
• 10% of tariff for infant below and up to 5 years on the date of actual journey.
• There will be a 10% surcharge levied on the e tariff for the trips falling during Christmas and New Year.
Tariff is inclusive of cost of travel and accommodation, catering (morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner), conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments and palaces and cultural entertainment.

Booking Policy:

a) In case of Individual Travelers:
• 20% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking.
• Remaining 80% of ticket value 59 days prior to departure of the tour.

b) Group Travel is applicable and tariff will be ON REQUEST.
Cancellation Policy:

a) In case of Individual Travelers:
• 5% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure.
• 20% of ticket value between 30 to 59 days prior to departure.
• 100% of ticket value less than 30 days prior to departure.

No show/ forced termination of tour during the actual travel/amendment:
• No Show – In case of No Show / Non-arrival of the guest, no refund or adjustment in future travel will be possible. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited.
• In case of termination of tour by the guest after the commencement of the jpurney for any reasons, no refund or adjustment for future travel will be possible. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited.
Amendment – Is only possible under the circumstances like Natural Disaster / Natural Calamity or Serious Health Problem’s (subject to proper certified documents from the Doctors).Refunds are solely at the discretion of the Train Management. Each case is decided on merits.
