DAY 01: COLOMBO – HABARANA - SIGIRIYA (160Km-04 Hr.)

DAY 02: SIGRIYA & MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the Hotel
Visit Sigiriya Fort – rising about 370M from the Sea Level, was formed by magma of extinct volcano. It is surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens and reservoirs.It is believed that the fortress was used as a rock shelter mountain monastery, with caves prepared. It includes caved Temples, Bathing Pools and landscaped Gardens. In the Mirror was one can see his reflection.
Lunch will be served in Sinhalese Local Restaurant
Proceed onwards to the National Park covering an area of 90sq. km. This is one sanctuary where Wild Elephants are found in large numbers. Besides one can also see Sambhar Deer, buffaloes and Crocodiles. Luck on your side you can also spot a Leopard. A Jeep Safar through Jungle will give you inside picture of the wild life.

DAY 03: SIGIRIYA – KANDY via DAMBULLA CAVES

Leave by Car for Dambulla Caves –is one of the best, largest and well preserved complex with 5 Sanctuaries. It is a living Buddhist site and has 5 Cave Shrines.
Unique Shrines with painted surfaces. The Monks perform daily rituals and are also responsible for up-keep of the property.
Proceed onwards to Kandy –(This lovely city was the last Capital of the Kingdom of Sri Lanka before it became a colony of the British Empire. During the last two centuries of the Kingdom, Nanayakhar princes of India exerted substantial influence among the rulers of this country. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned "Temple of the Tooth". Places of interest are the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the Mahaweli Diversion Project in their impressive settings. Spice Gardens dot the outskirts of Kandy)

DAY 04: KANDY

Visit Pinnawala Orphanage –It was launched to provide shelter and nourishment to abandoned Baby Elephants who were left unattended. These Well trained and groomed welcome tourists and play with them. All for a good Cause.
Return to Hotel in Kandy for rest
Afternoon: City sightseeing of Kandy visiting Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Art and Craft Center, Gem Museum and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

DAY 05: KANDY – PERADENIYA - NUWARA ELIYA (40Km. – 01hr.)

Visit Royal Botanical Gardens spread in 147 Acres. These Gardens were laid in 1734 as a pleasure Gardens for King of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of Trees and Plants and the proceed onwards to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Water Falls falling from a height of 109M. Continue to travel towards Nuwara Eliya – which has a glimpse of British influence in every respect.

Evening: Visit Tea Gardens and the Factory. Tea is one of the Source of earnings of Foreign Exchange. It is exported world wide due to its quality.

DAY 06: NUWARA ELIYA

Tea/Coffee and then early morning Leave for Visit Horton Plains –situated at a height of 2100M, it is a protected National Park and is covered by Montane grassland and cloud Forest. Rich in biodiversity.The park, along with the nearby Peak Wilderness Protected Area and the Knuckles Conservation Forest, make up a World Heritage Site called The Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. It’s a unique ecosystem with abundant flora and fauna that’s been described as “a super biodiversity hotspot”.
Your will appreciate the flora and fauna of this site. You will also come across the Birds, Lizards and the beautiful flowers.

DAY 08: FULL DAY TOUR TO GALLE (Round Trip / 150Km.)

Galle, said to be the famous Tarshish of the Bible is the Port where the Portuguese first landed in Sri Lanka. Fortified by the Dutch who ruled Sri Lanka in the 17th and 18th centuries, the city still retains retains the air of old Holland. Old Dutch Churches and monuments with armorial bearings, well preserved Fort and ramparts, imposing crested and monogrammed gateway dated 1669, many well preserved old Dutch houses and narrow alleys still bearing Dutch names. As for souvenirs, one may make a pick of exquisite hand-made lace, Ivory carvings, moonstone jewellery and beautiful translucent tortoise shell ware, including bracelets, trinket boxes, combs - sometimes inlaid with silver.

After Early Dinner, Visit Rakawa Turtle Sanctuary. It is a 2 Km stretch of protected coastline, which is a nesting haven for 5 species or maritime Turtles. Sit by the Turtle and share an unforgettable experience.
